I had little hope for great reception from the Axion AXN-8701 portable TV. I live in the country 50 miles from the transmitter towers. Analog reception is poor, but digital reception is amazing. The picture is as sharp as my digital cable connected LCD and sound quality is also excellent for the size of the speakers.

This mini TV has excellent reception. It also comes with an external antenna. This mini TV’s extra-long cable has a magnet base that mounts on top of your car roof, or any metal surface.
Pop up antenna and external antenna that comes with the Axion AXN-8705 both plug into the TV with a standard input. You can also plug your cable or satellite dish into the same input. The Axion AXN-8705 is capable of automatic or manual station setup. You won’t be sorry buying the Axion AXN-8705.

The picture quality of the Axion AXN-8705 compares to my large screen Vizio and the sound is OK. I’m using the attached telescoping antenna that comes with this mini TV. The Haier HLT10 is a small and rather inexpensive 10 inch TV. This mini TV served my purpose very well—for use in a small travel trailer.
Actually, the picture quality of the Haier HLT10 is very good as is the color. It has all the adjustment a person could want. This mini TV is light weight and easily moved. I am delighted with it.
In the time since I’ve gotten it, I have more reasons to be pleased with it. However, the speakers are very small and the volume is limited. If you are right in front of it, as you would be to watch a show, it will probably be all right. From across the room, I need to turn on the stereo to hear everything.
The Haier HLT10 comes with integrated speakers. For those folks that desire more volume, an inexpensive mono Radio Shack 9V battery speaker-booster does the trick.

Nothing in the advertising says the Haier HLT71 produces High Definition viewing. It does pick-up HDTV stations.
The image quality of the Haier HLT71 is restricted by the LED television screen. However, with this mini TV’s 720p resolution, the image is really nice and sharp. It is almost HD.

The Haier HLT71 is a great little TV. The item I received differed from the one pictured, it was rubberized black and had better controls. It comes with a removable battery pack, 12v and AC adapters and a stick antenna.

The Artec T28A mini TV is perfect for my purposes. The Artec T28A is easy to set up and has great image. This is a neat mini TV with good built-in digital TV tuner. Mine came with a DTV antenna which works ok. If you hook it up to an amplified antenna or have good reception to begin with, then you should be golden.
What I liked best about the Artec T28A is the info button which allows one to check out the details of the show you are watching even when not connected to cable. I would recommend the Artec T28A to everyone who wants a portable TV to carry around to any room, any time.

The antenna of the Philips PT902 really works well within 50 miles of a major city. If you live in the country, don’t expect this to do what your other TV’s can’t do.
I pick up over 40 channels in the Fort Worth Area. The Philips PT902 also picks up about 35 FM stations. The picture is good for being an LCD screen. The Philips PT902 is easy to use and setup.
